最上級

最上級は「〜が一番〜だ」という意味を表します
つくり方はthe をつけて形容詞にestをつけてつくります
This is the fastest car in my collections. =この車が私のコレクションの中で一番はやいです
This novel is the longest novel in this library. =この小説がこの図書館の中で一番長いです novel=小説

比較級でbeautiful,interstingなど長いの単語を比較級であらわすときにmore　を使いましたが、最上級では the most　を使います

This is the most important building in this town. =この建物はこの町で一番重要な建物です
This tale is the most interesting. =この話は最も興味深い　tale=話

最上級をつくるときはtheを忘れないようにしましょう

This pencil is as long as that one. =この鉛筆はあの鉛筆より長い　pencil=鉛筆
This jewel is as expensive as this car. =この宝石はこの車と同じぐらい(値段が)高い

疑問詞which

whichを使って「どちらが〜」という疑問文をつくることができます

Which is better? =どっちがいいですか？
Which is bigger, Mars or Venus? =火星と金星どちらが大きいですが？ Mars=火星 Venus=金星
Which do you like better, baseball or soccer? =野球とサッカーどちらが好きですか？
